Doctor

  • Dr. Julie Forbes , D.V.M.


    Dr. Julie Forbes graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.  Her interest in veterinary medicine started at the early age of 4 when she brought home a stray cat.  After watching the cat deliver kittens, Dr. Forbes' interest in animals only grew.  She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but takes a special interest in dentistry and dermatology.
    Currently her family consists of her husband Andreas, an equine surgeon, their daughter Rachel,  their dogs JAG and Sami, and cat, Turbo.

  • Dr. Allison Massenzio


    Brea Veterinary Hospital would like to welcome our newest associate, Dr. Allison Massenzio!
    Dr. Massenzio grew up in rural Pennsylvania and New Jersey and spent summers on her relatives' farms in Ireland where she began to foster her love for animals.  She attended the University of Liverpool, School of Veterinary Medicine in the U.K.  and in 2003, she received her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) and Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). 
    After 2 years in upstate New York treating small animals and horses, Dr. Massenzio moved to Los Angeles, CA to practice in the San Fernando Valley.  As of August 4, 2009, she will join the Brea Veterinary team where she will be a valuable asset to our facility! 
    Dr. Massenzio resides in Whittier and shares her home with her fiance, Adam and their two dogs, a Maltipoo and Shiba Inu.

Management

  • Krista


    Krista attended Cal Poly Pomona University until 2003, when she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal/ Pre-Veterinary Science.  She has a special interest in Animal Behavior sprouting from her years of showing dogs at AKC conformation shows.  She is currently showing an English Mastiff and French Bulldog and can be seen at local shows or around Brea walking her Border Terrier, Lewis.

Technician

  • Grace


    Grace has been in the veterinary field since 1999 and joined Brea Veterinary Hospital in October 2003.  Grace is responsible for a number of duties at Brea Veterinary Hospital including the ordering of hospital supplies, hospital safety meetings, and equipment maintenance.  She loves working with animals, and especially enjoys surgical and anesthetic procedures.

  • Gabby


    Gabby has been with Brea Veterinary Hospital for over 5 years.  She started out as a kennel attendant and has worked her way up as a veterinary technician.  She currently maintains radiology and in-house laboratory equipment.   Gabby lives in Fontana with her husband, daughter and two sons. Gabby has two dogs Diesel and Mona.

  • Kelly


    Kelly joined Brea Veterinary Hospital over 4 years ago as a kennel attendant where she worked hard to acquire the skills to currently work as a technician.  Kelly is responsible for many important tasks including autoclave sterilization maintenance, supervision of kennel responsibilities, vaccine reminders and the purchasing of hospital maintenance supplies.  Kelly is currently working on her degree in Biology in which she intends to apply her knowledge as a zoo keeper at San Diego Wild Animal Park.  Kelly has 1 dog, 2 cats, 3 frogs, and a number of box turtles!

  • Davina


    Davina has been a part of the team at Brea Veterinary Hospital since October 2000.  She provides technical support for the Doctors and enjoys assisting in surgical procedures, particularly dentistry.  Davina and her husband live locally with their daughter, son, pet rat, and feline companions!

Reception

  • Amy


    Amy joined Brea Veterinary Hospital in June 2007.  She is currently working as a receptionist and enjoys working hands on with our patients.  Amy has a strong interest in client education and takes pride in providing our clients with quality service and a personal touch.  With over 10 years of experience in the veterinary field, she is a great member of our team.
    Amy lives in La Habra with her husband, son, three cats and their dog K.C.

  • Sabrina


    After receiving a degree in Electronics, Sabrina soon realized that her passion lies in helping people and their pets. Of all the jobs that she has had, being a Receptionist at Brea Veterinary Hospital has been the most rewarding. Kennel

  • Robert


    Robert is one of Brea Veterinary Hospital's newest employees working as a kennel attendant.  After completing the veterinary assistant program at the Professional Veterinary Assistant School, he decided this is the field for him!  He has started classes in the Veterinary Technician program and plans on becoming a licensed veterinary technician.  When not at Brea Vet, Robert enjoys performing music and spending time with his 3 cats and chinchilla.  Vetsuite_Img_62679
